Leadership and staff
Bethesda Children Ministry, is run by 7 dedicated staff, about 10 volunteers and two missionaries from Sweden. The employed staffs are working at Bethesda Children Centre and the volunteers assist both in the centre and in the other activities within the ministry i.e. street work, Remand Home and drop in. The leadership is divided on three persons:
BCM LeadershipLucy Siele is the BCM Chairman and the supervisor. She is working as a senior teacher in a nearby school so she is not employed at BCM, but spends a lot of her free time at Bethesda.
Elizabeth Gwako is the BCM Administrative secretary and the housemother. She is also educated counselor and gives counseling both to the boys and the girls. She stays within the compound.
John Kissinger is the BCM Team Coordinator and the teacher. He is educated teacher and currently studying Counseling.
BCM StaffFlorence Otuoma is working as a cook 15 days per month
Rose Mengo is also working as a cook 15 days per month
Evans Waithaka is working as a night watchman 15 nights per month and also assists in the daily shopping.
James Bosire is working as a night watchman 15 days per month and also assists in the handcraft production.
Donald Getoi is our farmer. He is in charge of our animals, the cow and the goat and he is also responsible for the land where we are planting maize, beans, potatoes and vegetables.
MissionariesThere are two missionaries assisting in the Bethesda Ministry. Both of them are employed by Swedish Lutheran Mission.
Lina Jämstorp is educated social worker and she has been working with the ministry since mid 2006.
Sofia Nilsson is educated teacher and she has been working with the ministry since the beginning of 2007.
